Default Instrument Cluster - immobilizer and coding questions

Hello, I have a question regarding the immobilizer system of the C7.

I know that the following modules are all tied into the immobilizer system of the C7:

ASDM - Air Bag System Diagnostic Module

BCM - Body Control Module

EBCM - Electronic Brake Control Module

ECM - Engine Control Module

HVAC - Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Module

IPC - Instrument Panel Control Module

SCLCM - Steering Column Lock Control Module

I also read that replacing one of these modules for throuble shooting (or any other reason) with a used module from another C7 might block the immobilizer.

Anybody here switched between different instrument clusters (IPC) and managed to block the immo due to this after trying to start the engine?

If so how can the immo be unblocked if another instrument cluster was installed for a short time but the original one is back in the car?

Furthermore I would like to know if it is possible to integrate/code a used instrument cluster and how this can be achieved.

Is that something that only the dealer can do or is it possible to do with GDS2 and a VCX Nano interface?

I don't know the answer to your questions; however, I can make one suggestion: don't use the VCX Nano. I can't get my VCX Nano Interface to work reliably. I wouldn't trust it to change anything critical to the car's operation, as it can leave you hanging due to Chinese Software issues.

You can replace 1 and immobilizer will still work, but there will be a dtc indicating different part. More than one and your car will not start.
