Hello, Im a new c7 corvette owner and im having trouble with my A/C, it blows really cold air then goes right to blowing extremely hot air. I checked the refrigerant level and it was high so I emptied the refrigerant and refilled and it went right back to high on the refrigerant gage. Thanks for any suggestions or if someone has experienced this issue with their c7
Welcome to the board. There's a lot of knowledge here so hopefully someone will be able to point you in the right direction. Until then, Is it the high side or low side reading high? When you emptied the system did you put in under vacuum and if so how long did you hold it there? When it starts running hot have you check the compressor to make sure the clutch in engaging and it's spinning?
I had the exact same issue on one of my cars and it was the blend door actuator. You might look into that. Also, as jwcfbd says, when it does it look and see what your compressor is doing. Good luck
You may want to check the fan operation as well. If it isn't working properly, it can cause issues like you have described. And I agree, ck on the Sync button. It will do the same thing. My wife does it to me every time we take our ZR1 a long trip.
How did you determine the charge was high? I've never heard that one. Late model cars are charged by evacuating the system and then adding refrigerant by weight and not by gauges (I've been educated recently). There's very little refrigerant in the system compared to older cars.
Exercise all air delivery modes and hot / cold on both sides (sync) in all modes. As noted above, verify the compressor hub is turning along with the compressor pulley. If in doubt see if you can swap the compressor relay with another relay (fixed one of my DD by swapping the relay).

Guess I need to check my husband I am having some issues with my A/C too. Recharge didn't help. Will try some of the fixes noted in this thread. Forum is a really helpful place to be. I appreciate you all.
