Default Mode selector inoperable

Driver mode selector inoperable.........Selecting Sport from Tour does not change exhaust tone or suspension.

Does the letter in the box at the bottom of the speedometer change from T to S to Tr to W to E? Display will change if display mode is set to LINK. If so, the selector switch works. Steering will get stiffer T->S->Tr if you have the steering effort set to LINK.

I don't know if NPP and Mag Ride were available / optional on 2015 3LT Stingray. Your profile does not say Z51 so I doubt you have these features. If NPP, there should be a valve visible in the outer exhaust tips and a boxy actuator on the outer exhaust tips. The settings menu will have ENGINE SOUND MANAGEMENT. If Mag ride, the BLACK shocks should have wires coming out of the top.

The exhaust tone really doesn't change - the gear/rpm when the valves are open changes if you have Perf Exhaust (NPP). The suspension stiffness does not change unless you have mag ride.

Download Owner's manual and Info manual PDF from C7 General | Sticky Notes... They make good reading

Thanks for the reply Ron. I've not posted a thread on forum before..................I can see that I didn't give enough information. My car is a Z51, 3LT and has the NPP, Mag Ride options and the Letters do change with the selector. Usually I can feel the suspension stiffin' but I'm not sure now if it is. I need to go out and see if the steering changes.
I have read the owners manual

Try a hard reset, remove the battery ground from the battery and connect it to the + post on the pattern for a min. This means no connection from the battery terminal - post and the battery cables connected to each other. This will reset the whole system (worked for me)

You can try the negative cable off for 30 min reset. You may need to reindex the windows and reset seat memory. Do yourself a favor and make sure you can't lock yourself out of the car - open the windows before you start. It would also be a good time to check that the metal key works to open the hatch / trunk, the driver's door cable release works, and the door manual levers work. Open the hood so you have an easily accessed spot to connect 12 volts if needed (not to jump start) at the front fuse box. And change your fob batteries if over about 2 yr old. (fobs have nothing to do with your current question, but a good practice).

So - suspension and exhaust used to change and now you're not sure? Did you do anything to the car lately? Suspension should always change with the mode selector Tour-Sport-Track. Steering and exhaust can be set to Link to drive mode or set to T, S, or Track in the Info screen settings. The DIC display can be set to Link to drive mode or set to T, S, or Track using the DIC menus.

So - you may only feel the shocks change with the mode dial if Steering, Exhaust, or DIC display mode are fixed.

Please add Z51, NPP, and Mag Ride to your profile or all car info to your signature.

Have fun checking this out and let us know what you find.

GL

Ron
