new hear and my new c7. its a c7 2014 z51. targo top is making noise. sounds like the roof is flexing. i tried rubber rings on the two nipples of the roof. did not work. what can i do?
Welcome home! I have a 2014 and have been fighting this also. Get a sling shot rubber tubing, cut it about 3/4 inch long, put this over the front pins use a little clear silicone lube. This will cut down the clicking a lot. Is the clicking only coming from the front?

Where did you put the clear silicone lube? My tubing comes off when I take the top off so any lube on the pins would just exasperate that issue. I just used lube on the rear pins.
I use just a bit of clear lube on the outside of the sling shot rubber, on the hole where the front pins go, and on the 1 inch circle of rubber on the rear support. If you don't get snaping sound from the rear, you don't need lube on the rear. I'm about to test tightening the rear latch and see if that makes any difference.
Dealer Robbed me by changing the two front pins and replaced "rear torn weatherstripping" charging me $1,300.00 and it fixed absolutely nothing. It's definitely some kind of body flex which becomes more apparent in the higher temperature weather. I don't believe that there is a permanent fix for it.
Years ago, I someone (whom I can't remember now) recommended dielectric grease--it's cheap enough, and I already had a tube in the garage so I tried it and it worked for me.
I tried something today that you DON'T want to do. I put a bit of clear lube on the bottom surface of the large front latch and the curved part it slides on, my clicking just got way worse. Apparently this allows the front pin to move/click a LOT more. AAAARRRG!

Are you sure lubrication doesn't exacerbate the issue? Perhaps it is like turning on a light in a dark room and seeing a mess. Mess was always there just that now you can see it?
