DSC Settings for Street Use
I have a 16 ZO6 zo7 car and doing the DSC controller was one of the first modifications I did 4 years ago. So I very little experience with the car stock. The original shop that installed it didn't zero out the ride height so I had to do some tinkering with it myself. Anyhow I've had some settings I have been content with , frankly I just got tired of messing with it. Everything I've done have been in the G Comfort parameters for default rate, sensitivity and G rate Max. Lately I've gotten a little bit of annoyed with the car feeling a bit soft. So I'm back to tinkering.
Street use only for people wanting it firm. Would be interested to know others settings for default rate, sensitivity and G rate Max?
The last day I've been experimenting with multiple settings including even zeroing out sensitivity and G rate Max which defaults to the tables , which I actually liked but need to get it on some different driving roads to see for sure. Current setting for sport is 20 default and 10 each for sensitivity and G rate Max. Seemed good, but only did a short drive.
From memory, the stock car was very firm but also felt super strong when cornering. DSC is of course incredibly comfortable, even being able to ride and track on terrible asphalt farm roads . Which of course is great . But I feel the car leans more than it should when cornering and I don't remember it doing that stock. One thing I like about the DSC is I do believe it settles the rear end and really helps put the power down and at 830 to the tire that's important to me.
Anyhow, would love some feedback from others with similar purposes for the vehicle. I will keep tinkering with the settings and experimenting, but considering I have doubts I will probably try the GM upgrade and test out stock . If I don't like it of course I can always just go back.
Thanks in advance

As a reference for those interested, see this video and go to minute 8. These are the only changes I'm making. The video will explain these settings, so I won't address them here: [
Up until this point, I've had Default between 5 on Sport and 3 on Track, and Sensitivity/G Rate Max at 20. It's smooth, but lately, I've been feeling like it's too smooth—smooth to the point where it's less fun and even giving me a lack of confidence in what the car is capable of.
I did a short drive last night, putting Sensitivity/G Rate Max at 0, which defaults to the main G board at 50%. This eliminates the G Comfort Parameters completely. This is equivalent to putting Default at 50. Very firm, but I didn’t hate it. The car didn’t lean nearly as much in the corners. I just did a quick drive on a short stretch of back roads.
Last night, I changed Sport and Track to 20 for Default and 10 for Sensitivity and G Rate Max. This still kept things pretty firm, but not as harsh as removing the G Comfort Parameters completely. I just did a highway run, but one that has some curves. I really liked it compared to how I've had the car set up for the last few years. Track was too harsh/bumpy for certain spots—which is good, I think, because previously Track was so smooth I could daily it with no problem. I think I'll do my usual run, which is a loop of part farm/back roads and tollway.
If I want it softer, I'll do a run with the Default rate at 15 instead of 20, but leave Sensitivity/G Rate Max at 10. Then I’ll try one with Default at 20 but bump Sensitivity to 15.
I'll post again after testing out current settings with my usual run.
Not sure I feel the need to mess with the settings in sport for a while. But I may play with track. Stock DSC settings I would drive track on the street and it is very smooth but I needed it so the car felt more stable. 20 default and 10 each for sensitivity and G rate Max for track I think is too stiff for the street, I hit a bump and it didn't feel good. Like rim bending type didn't feel good. I like sport 1 for the back roads to have some give in the rear, so I'll probably play with track a bit.
If you have DSC, you should really learn these easy settings and make adjustments.
