Default Learned costly lesson when replacing tires

Bought my 14 Z51 C7 with Nitto summer tires 265-35-19 front 305-30-20 back. I went with Michelin pilot All season non RF with same size on front but went with 305-35-20 on back. They don’t offer the 305-30-20, not sure why. Long story short the 35s on back are too tall and are rubbing. So now I gotta reorder 30s for the rear and my only option is the Michelin all season RF. Very costly mistake!

Sorry to hear. Hopefully someone else will learn from your mistake.

Either use an online tire size calculator or make your own in Excel.

I would go back to the people that sold you the tires. Just because THEY didn't have the correct tire in stock doesn't mean it's your fault. I think these would be correct.

I appreciate the recommendation. I posted my experience just for that reason. I was to concerned about try to fill in the wheel gap with the 305-35. Hopefully my local shop can help me with a swap out. I’m going with the 305-30 or the 295-30

Thanks for posting your experience. I was just talking to my husband last evening about the gap from my fun flats to the fender...wanted to lower it a bit...rubbing was his concern. Thank you again for the post. May have saved ME.

I appreciate the kind words! I decided to go with 295-30s because the Michelin tire seems a bit beefier to me. The main culprit for trying to run the 35s is the small storage compartment in the truck on the driver side. It actually protrudes out a little bit into the fender well of your driver side rear wheel
