My vette had "electrical meltdown" at 56th miles.
1. No Ac, no radio, no gauges working at all. car doors would not open ,had to use emergency latch. no FOBS working.
2. Thought it was the alternator, it was not,it was checked and good.
3. battery was okey but put new battery,
4. did the reprogram .,car ran for about 2 hours, all was okey.
5. All was working, drove home and this morning,
6. Nothing on car is working all, completely dead.
7. Could the computer system in the car need replacing? then all need to be reprogrammed?
here is what was done.
1. reee the codes - found 52, C cleaned to 5.SAT
2. car started fine. (also put in new battery) new engine belt
3. had too many codes, about "Power disconnection" , battery was only common denominator , we replaced, replaced belt, ,
4 car would not start, after and fuse box would click,, engine light would go off every 10 sec.or so.
5.laptop indicated car had lost contact with keys.(replaced batteries and reprogrammed.
6.car started. with no problem , might be some sort of relay problem or maybe vette computer system needs replacing.
7. car started , and this morning, nothing , key fobs not working , and nothing working at all.
8. thinking that car computer system is not functioning at all. car has 56th miles.
First, it's a good idea to fill out your profile. I would still do more checking at the battery connections. Did you put anything on the battery terminals?
just regular maintenance. This problem is a first. IT 's going to have to be towed to Jeff Cobb's auto works in baton rouge, La. Vette mechanic from texas is coming to check on it. thinks it needs new computer system.

What is “regular maintenance” and we would have to know what that encompassed ??…what is a new computer system ??…you don’t need a Vette mechanic…you need an auto electrical specialist…most Vette mechanics I’ve met can barely diagnose a light bulb circuit !!…well good luck !!
Sounds like you might need one or more of the modules reprogrammed. It often happens when the battery dies or disconnected for a while. Several lost communication codes will pop up. Sometimes a Global reset will fix it.

Go over the new battery installation just to be sure all of the connections are good. There are several opportunities to cause problems due to a bad installation. For installation recheck see this post:
