Soler, because design, performance, service, warranty, and (if/when the time comes) resale value.

I installed the basic, Soler throttle controller. It changes the 4 inches of pedal travel to 2 inches, depending what setting you use. I have noticed when I get on it, I can feel the engine increase throttle until about half pedal, after half pedal there isn't any response.

When it comes to throttle controllers, we know there are plenty of options out there. Our DLX system is engineered to stand above the industry standard. Offering build quality, design, and features you won’t find elsewhere.

The DLX display housing is crafted from anodized aluminum, giving it a premium, durable finish that far exceeds the typical plastic housings used in the industry. Its compact, modern design blends seamlessly into your Corvette's interior.
Our heavy-duty wiring harness and connectors are built for real-world reliability.
With 64 throttle settings, you get complete control over your driving experience. Plus, added features like Valet Mode and Lock Mode bring safety and customization that most competitors don’t offer.
The OLED display is clear in any lighting condition. For those who prefer a cleaner look, the display can be removed completely and operated through your phone via Bluetooth. Once disconnected, cables can be hidden for a wireless appearance.

What sets us apart even more:
  • No subscriptions – you pay once, you own all features.
  • 1-year warranty on all products.
  • 30-day money-back guarantee (no restocking fees, we cover return shipping).
  • No sales tax when purchasing directly from us.
  • Expert tech support – our lead tech has installed hundreds of these on Corvettes, including many at Corvettes at Carlisle.
If you’d like to try it, use code: tiff5off at checkout for a discount. From what you’ll see here on the forum, it’s very rare that someone doesn’t love the upgrade!

So, are you saying the throttle body is fully opened at 1/2 throttle and that's why you don't feel any more response?

Thank you

Yes, exactly. The controller just changes the electronic to open the throttle at different ratios. You can set it to crazy mode to be fully open at about 1/4 pedal movement.

What are you trying to achieve? I wanted to increase the throttle tip in which is what I got with a Diablo programmer. I wasn't tracking it or changing any of the suspension or tires so I wanted some tip in but not so much that all I do is roast the tires. Makes for a cool smoke show but doesn't do anything. Diablew did that for me and that was that. I have had a tuner on my Excursion with a bunch of different tunes including "No Start" which was so you can engage it and take the controller away and even with the key, all you do is crank till the battery dies. I probably used that once and never again. I switched a lot initially but ended up using economy tune for downtown putting and tow tunes for when I am towing. All the different tunes were just burned up in smoke.

I can't speak to what others have experienced, but there's a good explanation of Soler's TC 10 modes spanning 64 possible settings (including tabular and graphical info) available on the product page I linked previously (scroll down). FWIW, my experience with the Soler TC and Throttle Body mirrors what's described there.

Notably, the only setting that results in "fully opened at 1/2 throttle" is Drag Race. You can CHOOSE to use that, or any of the other 63 possible settings that suit your needs. Sport 5 most closely approximates linear throttle response, which is preferred by many (including me). Soler's Lock setting provides a decent theft deterrent, as it renders the car undriveable.

Yes, the Soler controller does improve the initial throttle response, "tip in". The Soler doesn't require reprograming the ECU and can be adjusted to any throttle setting while driving.

Thank you for your responses and information it was very helpful!

So I'm looking for two things, better linear throttle response and the "no start" option. I like the many options to manage throttle response from wild to mild, it looks like Soler suites my needs.

Many Thanks to everyone's input!

To clarify, the Soler TC does not offer a "no start" option. In the lock mode, the car will start but only idle. Yes, you can actually drive off at idle (which I have tried in my M7) but you wouldn't outrun a bicycle

Have you considered tuning?
Our inTune 3 and Trinity 2 include an adjustable throttle boot parameter that allows you to set throttle feel in the tune.
Can also be done with the PredatorX as well after purchasing the throttle boost upgrade for $30.

I did it with Diablew in the I3 but at some point, it becomes a tire spinning thing. I believe Lew said something about 30% increase?

I'd go the tune the ECU route. I am never a fan of anything that "intercepts" signals. No matter how well designed.
