anyone know the part number for the base model C7 rear differential?

Also, for mechanical diff options for a turnkey thing is RPM the only option here?

pretty sure it 3.42 M7 base model is same as Z51/GS M7

i need to confirm for sure though , i do a pretty awesome job of confusing myself dealing with GM part numbers and ratios.

I think that might not be it, I have a base model and I don't recall having to disconnect any axle cooling. That part number says it has an axle cooler. Do you know where it's stamped on the diff? My car is going to be on jacks today so I can check.

Base Model does not have same part as Z51 , GS . They both have EDiff , base has just plain old Positraction diff with no cooling

Dave,

Do you know the part number for the base diff/can you confirm if it's the one listed above?

Well its for an M7 , it states its not a E Diff but as you pointed out it states diff cooler . I have a Base A8 and have been under my car many times , also has rear bumper off ... and the only cooler i remember seeing is the trans cooler and fan behind the rear bumper ... now i am curious.... , I bet if its just a cooling loop you could just close the ports off
also if you decide to go with it , confirm that it is in stock as the NON Ediff is a hard to find peice
