Kept getting a Service Light when starting the car.
Battery Low.
Hooked car to trickle charger overnight same code.
Charged the battery. Same code at start up.
Noticed a small black wire with no end on it. Then a tab on the negative cable wirh no wire attached. See pictures. Spliced a new length of wire and hooked it up to the negative cable.. Service Light stopped on the dash. You can see the yellow marked bolt missing the wire. You can see the end of the wire
this was on a 2019 GS. I have a 2015 z51 also and it has the same broken wire. Not sure how long they have been like this. On the 2019 I belive the low voltage caused a check engine light and the car would not start at all. Charged the battery and when the car started it ran very rough for about 20 minutes.got at p2199 code. Idle improved and was able to clear the code.
