Default Using ramps to change oil

Curious as to how many C7 owners use ramps to change oil. Along the same lines, if it's something that is generally done, can anyone recommend a good set of ramps?

I have the normal metal ramps. It's difficult to use them with the C7. The C7 front it so low I need to use 2X6's as an on ramp to the ramps. The plastic ones have a gentler slope and would work better. I have the Quick Jack that works very well. I leave it on the floor and park over it when not using it. I have installed permanent, low profile aluminum pads on my car. They also work very well. Leave them in and forget them.

I have Race Ramps (56") with the Extenders. But if I was buying fresh (I didn't need the extenders with my C6) I'd get the 72" ones. You only need the extenders/72" ramps if you have a front splitter.

Race Ramps. Wonderful product, albeit a bit pricey.

I would prefer to use the pucks. $534 is very spendy on an item you use once a year and you have to store those elongated pieces of plastic. Now if I was doing a few low profile cars several times a year, you might be on to something.

I store mine next to the tool box in the corner. Standing up they take 2 sq ft of floor space.

Surprisingly they come in handy. Not just for oil changes.

I use a low profile jack and made DIY wheel cradles out of 2x12 lumber. Jack up one side and cradle then other side. Then you have a jack instead of ramps to use on your car too for other things.

I mean or just have both. I have two jacks (one a low profile long one). 8 jack stands. And the race ramps. But for an oil change or to roll a car up to take a quick look at something (like if a friend brings over a car) the ramps are easy and quick to use.

If I'm putting the car fully in the air, I roll it up on the ramps, jack up the rear, put it on stands, then jack the front up (higher than the ramps), slide out the ramps and put in jack stands. To avoid that dance, I'm looking at a quick jack. So then I'll have 4 ways to get under a car. It's all about use case. Ramps are SWEET for putting on an exhaust too, you just roll up the rear tires onto them, and usually you can shimmy under a car far enough to get to where you are removing the exhaust without jacking up the front.

Exactly.

And not only for cars. I also use them with ATVs, Zero turn radius mowers, etc.

But if one prefers pucks, a jack, and jack stands this is an option, too.

If you get a Quick Jack, just make sure the spacing for the puck location is correct. The longer QJ's might have issues. And get the low profile pads that lock into the car.

2015 z51, raised to about stock height, I just installed an eBay front splitter and use the standard size plastic automotive ramps from harbor freight, but now that I have the splitter I need to add a 2x12 in front of the ramps to prevent the splitter from hitting. It just barely clears like that.

Sorry,,,, I'm trying to get my head around this picture. The car is half way up the ramps and the garage door closed right behind the car. So the parking brakes are set to stop it from rolling off the ramps?

Parking pawls in the transmission if automatic and engaged forward gear if manual?

Possibly? Literally anything. Likely? Not much comes to mind.
