The 2014 didn't come with tow hooks. Do you want to tow your car? When I first got my 2014 it didn't have the tow hook on the battery cover, so I purchased one and put it on the cover, DOH! Then I finally figured out it was of no use.
When I asked the Autocross guys where to put mine on my C7, they all said front. Ironically, when I was configuring my ERay, the location when adding the hook was the back.
it just screws in, so if you were in a position where you needed to change it it wouldn’t be that hard and at least you’d already have it
It’ll be interesting to see what others in the no have to say.
What would they need? A strap to hook onto part of the frame and pull it up onto a flatbed or is there more?
Back when I was a cop, we would often see cars towed away after accidents. I'd say that about 50% of the time the tow driver would loop a chain around whatever part of the car was available. Sometimes I could get them to use a strap on an appropriate location, but usually not.

There are no threaded inserts, front or rear on 2014 C7. It may be possible to to install them, if you were inclined. The OP never explained why he/ she needed or wanted them and only made one post. So
These are a waste of money. Reminds me of a woman with a ring in her nose. We had a bull that had the ring in his nose, that was used to lead him around.

I don't think most of the people will really need a tow hook but how would you look the part without it?

I've talked different tow companies about the screw in tow eye. All said they are OK to use for flat pulling a non running car at a track but none said they would use them to load a Corvette or any other car on a flatbed. Liability issues.
