Default Coolant check.

I worked on my car in Feb, 2025. It required me to fill my coolant. I'm sure I checked it for the correct level. Since then it has been just fine. Very normal temps. All my driving has been normal city and highway driving. After reading on this forum about checking the coolant level, I decided to check mine. When I opened the cap I could see orange coolant in the reservoir. I decided to look closer at the side of the reservoir at the level indicator. Which is very hard to see. It didn't seem to be filled to the correct level, engine cold. I started adding the correct 60/40% coolant. It took over 36 oz's of coolant to get to the full line. . WHAT,,,,,, I was shocked! I don't know if the coolant dropped over time or if I just didn't see the correct level when I filled it. I guess the good part is, the car never had any abnormal temps. Now for the test. I am going to start checking the fluid every week. I hope I don't have a leak.

36 oz isn't so bad considering how much is in there total
I haven't checked mine in forever, maybe I should though

I'm not sure, I did check it, after I filled it last year, but, I didn't keep checking it afterwards. Good lesson.
