Hi all! I’m sure this has been covered before but I can’t find it.
After exiting the car, the lights flash, the alarm arms and the horn is supposed to honk. Sometimes it does, most times it doesn’t, and sometimes it just gives a weak “squeak”.
Several years ago the dealer said they fixed it by replacing some relay. It worked fine for awhile but over time it’s back to the original problem.
The horn works fine by using the steering wheel button/switch.
Any ideas on what’s going on and how to fix it? If it’s indeed a relay, where is it located and how to replace it? I’m not a mechanic, I just wash it and drive it when my wife let’s me. 😎
not sure where it is but was wondering, if it still has the original battery you might want to replace that and see what happens. Its life is near the end anyway.

On a 2019 (C7) Corvette, the horn relay is part of the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) inside the under-hood fuse box. It is not a standard, easily removable relay. If the relay fails, the entire fuse block usually needs to be replaced, though it is recommended to check for power issues in the fuse box and check the actual horns located under the nose.
I have the same issue where the horn alarm chirp is weak or doesn't work intermittently. I read the Body Control Module sends a short duration pulse to the horn where the steering wheel horn button is a longer 12 volt signal. This suggests a possible bad horn assembly. Since the C7 has a dual horn, it adds doubt in my mind that both are weak. Either way, I'm planning to replace it. I'll report back with the results.

Going to be replacing battery tomorrow, so will see if that helps. Thanks!

Ok, thanks. Sounds like this isn’t as simple as I thought it would be.

Well, I replaced the battery but that didn’t help. Looks like no one has actually found a reliable fix so I’ll just put up with it for now.
It’s not critical to the operation of the car, just an additional indicator that the car is locked.
