Default Temp sense connector

I need to replace my temperature sensor. Looks pretty straight forward. Sensor right up front on the passenger side.
what am I missing with getting the connector off if it!?
I gently lifted up on the grey catch. And pulled…. Nothing while holding the catch up I put a small flat head screw drive under the connector and twisted …. It lifts up a little then reseats.
is there a trick to it I’m missing? It really shouldn’t take that much force.
I would hate to make a simple, inexpensive relay into a bigger more expensive repair because of a connector.

If you lift up on the tab it should come apart...maybe spray something like WD40 or PB Blaster on the connector...you can buy a pigtail to replace the connector if it breaks...a simple repair.

Thank you. I got it. The orientation of the sensor had the main clip on the back (up against the engine) 180 degrees from the main clip is a smaller grey clip, I guess that holds the fitting together. Once on the right clip it popped right off.

Great !!...I'd use some dielectric grease on the connector when putting it back together.

Just don't use Dielectric grease on the contacts, only on the blue rubber seal part.
