Default New Drop In Piston/Rod For LT1 Covettes, 1000+HP!!

AVAILABLE NOW!!!

Cunningham Motorsports is proud to present the very first publicly offered drop in piston and rod solution for the LT1/L86 (6.2) Engine! This is for the 14+ Corvette, 16+ Camaro and 14+ Trucks/SUV's.

We worked with CP Carillo and were able to get the exact same bobweight as the factory piston/rod assembly. Due to the heavier weight of the factory assembly we were able to build a very robust rod and piston package. There is no interference with the factory oil squirters with this kit.

What does this mean for you? No machine work and no balancing needed. This is a complete drop-in assembly that can be installed while the engine is still in the car!

This kit supports 1000+HP with other supporting modifications. Perfect for forced induction applications!!

Ever part in this kit is proudly made in the USA!!!

This kit includes:
- I-Beam Rods with H7 Carillo 7/16 Rod Bolts
- Drops Compression (1) full point 10.5:1
- CP Pistons with 2618 Forging Material
- Thick Wall, Heavy Duty Wrist Pins
- Tool Steel Top Ring, Napier Second Ring
- No Balancing Required! Drop In Piston and Rod Upgrade!!
- ACL H-Series Rod Bearings
- Price Includes Shipping To Your Door!

Introductory pricing is set at $2,399.00. Call now and reserve your set now to be included in our first batch of orders! Lead time is about 2-3 weeks at the moment.

Are each of the components match weighted or does one rely on the other to make the overall weight match? Meaning, could you do just these pistons and retain stock rods and the weight still match up or is it setup so that both must be done together?

You could just do a piston but we recommend the package due to our own experience with pushing the Gen 5 LT1 engines. We've seen popped ringlands with the stock pistons and bent factory rods around that 800whp mark. If you're going for 1000+hp, the piston AND rod combo is necessary. Our setup is balanced as a combo, not individually. We can only sell this package as a kit. It would not work if separated into just a piston upgrade or just a rod upgrade.

On an FI setup, what can you safely set the redline max out to with this piston/rod setup?

these setup will take 8000+rpm, it's going to be more limited by valve train and your power level at given rpm.
