No, you just unfasten the standard mirror to make it really easy to align the edges with the accessory mirror. After attachment, you snap the two combined mirrors back into place together.
Ok, back in September, 2019, it was said that OEM passenger side was already convex and it was asked would and enhanced aftermarket become available and you said no time soon but yet you just it has been available. Maybe there is confusion and misunderstanding with all the questions and responses. So will make it simple for clarification going forward. Do you have the aftermarket Blind-Spot mirror for both the Passenger and Driver side mirrors? So it seems that after 9/2019, now both sides are available as I had the screen shot from the website from September and it only showed drivers side and now the site shows both which is great and will go online and purchase. Are there discount coupons or codes for the pair?

We are working one it but don't hold your breath, if you knew how long it takes to design and bring one of these to market. I can tell you that it will not be anytime in the immediate future
