Corvette info center in Facebook has just released these new photos, and it's yellow as it should be. Looking for the road version of it

All the air going into the intake has to pass through the air boxes. The amount of air is restricted depending on each car's adjustment. They test the boxes by blocking off the inlets to see if it will stall or not. Several teams were dq when they found air leaks (more hp) after qualifying or the race.

So in the picture I referred to, is that the functional, operational setup or is that the testing equipment? It is GIGANTIC!!!

Its a restrictor. Those are used to even the field. Some cars the ports are larger some smaller its based on a total point system the car has. Vettes have always been very restricted in these series. Yea these on the new C7 are larger which means these cars are putting out more power and the sanctioning body is attempting to keep the field even. Good luck team corvette kick some butt guys.
