Can someone clarify!! what is carbon flash??? When you order CFZ? are the Carbon parts painted? and if it is not a gloss black, what is it?? and if you order the Carbon Flash mirrors, are they done in the exact same color and finish?? And does anyone have any pictures of carbon flash finish?? Thanks JD

Carbon Flash is a black metallic GM paint. Found on the corvette and some other GM vehicles.
The fins on the hood, rear brake cooling vents etc are all done in Carbon Flash.

Carbon Flash is the name of a paint color -- you might call it "metallic black". On 2014 Stingrays, the hood and fender vents, Z51 spoiler, and rear lower fascia are painted with Carbon Flash paint. It is a black with lots of metallic so that it appears as a very dark metallic charcoal. If you can find a Stingray to look at, you can view it in person. Otherwise, look at any close-up photograph of a Stingray vent or the rear fascia.

Since Carbon Flash is a paint, all parts painted in that color should look identical to all other parts painted in that color.

Yes, on CFZ the carbon fiber is painted with the paint called Carbon Flash. If there are imperfections in the carbon fiber pattern, the piece will be painted over and sold at a lower price -- that is, CFZ and CFV are identical except that the CFZ carbon fiber has some cosmetic imperfection that can be hidden with paint.

Carbon Flash is the color that the Centennial (2012) editions were painted. One year color for corvette. It is on other gm vehicles, but it has a different name on those models. Like stated above.... it's a metallic black.
