Default Your mod list ...

Well as we all know, being months away from taking delivery of a vehicle is just an opportunity to start making a mod master plan. Some civilians may snark at the idea of changing stuff up on a vehicle you've never taken delivery of, sat in, or even driven ... they are the reason hell exists.

So ...

What are your plans for your Z06?

I'm glad you asked ...

1. 20% tint all the way around, none on the windshield.

2. Obviously getting tinted quarter panel/rear bumper reflectors and fender side markers to match the grey oem tinted tails.

3. Preferably getting custom painted shark grey exhaust tips or as a second option aftermarket black tips. (may be as part of a more aggressive sounding aftermarket exhaust system)

4. Figuring out how to reproduce the cam lope at 33 seconds of this vid:
(I'm not a gearhead so that may be beyond my reach)

That's all I got so far .. I appreciate that a few of these are old hat for C7 owners but I'm just getting familiarized with what is and isn't possible, so i'd appreciate it if you didn't mock me to submission. Thnxbye.

no mods.... besides tint had to pay for a new ls7 after gm's mistake out of my own pocket so will let them foot the bill on a new motor if there are mistakes in this lt4 motor that come up.

The 100 pound weight reduction kit:

One-piece forged (monoblock) wheels
Non run-flat tires and probably the Pilot Sport Cup 2
Cat-back stainless-steel exhaust system including x-pipe and mufflers
Twenty-one pound Braille battery
AFM hardware delete

If the aftermarket exhaust is popping too much:

AFM software delete, skip-shift delete, and air/fuel ratio tuning:

Tint windows
Carbon Fiber Plate frame
Xpel pain protection
Long Tube headers x pipe gimmick with no cat, FLA has no emissions testing. (After i hit 10,000 - 15,000 miles to make sure no issues with car)
Conservative reprogram of ECU to get a few more ponies. ( After 10,000 - 15,000 miles)
After market cloth air filter
Hope to get 685 - 700 hp
Thats what I'll do in the first yr to yr 1/2.
Maybe get paint wet sanded if finish is not that great.

Lower on stock bolts immediately.

Catback exhaust for sound.

18s all around with track tires.

What does the "catback" exhaust sound like and how much horsepower does it add???? As for me Iam going to put on "aftermarket dual full length racing stripes", XPEL the front end and mirrors and lips of the wheels, black gorilla lug nuts, light tint on windows, by the way the reason for the aftermarket stripes is the fact that GM does not offer the bright red ones but just the crystal red which I don't like.

This will be the first performance car I've owned that I don't feel the need to mod--other than some thoughtful weight reduction & intake (maybe) & lowering on stock bolts/alignment.

I hope the CC brakes don't have any issues @ the track...

If I get a black one, Velocity Yellow full-length stripes, which GM doesn't see fit to offer.

Any other color, then just the usual:

"Who Farted?" bumper sticker

Playing cards in the spokes

Fuzzy dice hanging from the mirror

Stick figure family decals--three cats, one fat guy brandishing an M4 carbine--in one lower corner of the rear window and "Starfleet Academy" in the other

Mirror-image "SLOWER TRAFFIC KEEP RIGHT" upper windshield decal

Bicycle rack

The Club

Tinkerbell seat covers

Charles Ponzi bobblehead on the dash for inspiration

Spare gold chains and extra chest hair in the glove box

Custom plate IAMGROOT or 2GHETO4U

I know on my C6Z....any after market catback sounds better than stock. As for hp...not sure if it adds any, as I solely like it for the sound. Hopefully Akrapovic will have something special for the C7Z as it did for the C6Z.

With warranty: Tint, black outs, paint work, exhaust tips, ceramic pads & maybe wheels/tires depending on how they look when the after market options come available. Will also have a set of track wheels & DR.

Without warranty: Ditch the blower for twins, cam, E85 & tune.

This was kinda fun!
