Default Interior Package Question - Full Options

I ordered the following for the interior:
2LZ - Jet Black
Comp Seats
Swede Steering Wheel
Infotainment
NAV with 10 Speaker system
Performance Data Recorder

Since I just want the cockpit black, what will the 3LZ package give me that I don't already have?

The 3LZ will give you nav. w/recorder, upper suede trim, and better quality leather all over the car. To me, it is worth the upgrade.

I believe higher quality Napa leather as opposed to faux leather and Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim. Also I believe more parts are covered in the Napa leather in the 3lz package. Other then that I believe you added everything else.

So, are you saying that the 2LZ package has fake leather? I don't think that this is the case. Please educate me.

It has a lower-quality leather. Chevrolet calls it "Mulan Leather" in the 2LZ and "Napa Leather" in the 3LZ. There are other threads active on exactly what this may mean in terms of look and feel.

Well, the 3LZ get Napa wrapped surfaces. Thats the doors, seats, center console and some other parts. The 2LZ gets Mulan leather seats and a vinyl wrapped center console, dash, etc... If leather is not that important to you, dont get it. Also, the 3LZ gets the suede upper trim which includes the A, B pillars, the roof and sun visors. It not only adds visual appeal, but feels nice and luxurious. Nav. is also part of 3LZ. I initially was gonna go with the 2LZ until I got to sit and drive a C7 with the 3LT interior and it sold me. Looked and felt so nice.

This has been heavily discussed and it seems like when you factor in the sat nav cost in the 2LZ that the diff starts with a 3. I could be wrong.

UPDATE: Here's a link with the pricing. http://www.corvetteconti.com/blog/wp...cing-aug21.pdf

Price difference from the 2LZ with Nav and the 3LZ (includes Nav) is $3585. For that added money you get allegedly upgraded leather (Nappa) and more leather finishes, including some on the dash. However, not as much leather on the dash as in the stingray. Also, with jet black, much of the added leather will be harder to see, if that matters.

My order mirrors yours. I decided I didn't want to spend the extra money for the leather upgrade. I don't think I will regret it.

Who knows?

I am getting the 2LZ in black as well. At first I wanted the 3LZ but my dealer stated that since I am getting black you won't notice the "niceness" of the leather as you would if it were either red or another lighter color. Now since I am saving so much money I opted for the chrome wheels instead of the standard ones on my convertible.

Thats false. How can you not notice the difference in leathers just because they're both black? That makes no sense. Ditch the chrome() and get the 3LZ.

Are you sure the suede upper trim is part of the 3LZ, or is it $995 and ONLY available on the 3LZ?

Yes. Everything we've seen thus far has suggested that the suede upper trim is part of the 3LZ pkge. Its a $995 option for 2LZ.

Is the suede steering wheel a separate option?
