Default Differences between Z06 and Z51?

IF you ordered a Z51 with NPP, and Magnetic ride suspension, and heads up display (i know this only comes in 2lt) other than 650 hp and wider tires, are there any other differences (Besides the red brake Calipers)? Are the suspensions the same?

Base Z06 1lz in Z06 includes:
head up display, npp and magnetic selective ride control
front splitter.
Carbon Flash Badge Package is a standard.
Clear Rear Tail lights
wider bodies (front and rear) to accommodate wider tires. Forgot exactly how much wider.
Rear brake scoop

Not so sure about clutch, transmission suspension or brakes. Maybe others can chime in.

The rear spoiler is somewhat higher and certainly wider as the Z06 rear apprx.4" wider. The standard brakes are larger.I'm sure with all that torque and HP there must be modifications in trannies and drive train etc. The engine is hand assembled in I believe 2 plants, Aluminum frames in house. The vents are different in the rear valence for cooling, and the hood. The hood bulge is a bit higher. Also cooling vents behind the doors, as are the intakes in the grill. Small splitter also present. Spats front wheel wells. Inside badging -650hp/650torque. Exterior badging.

Early press releases say it uses the Z51 spoiler (but wider?). As yet I have not seen a confirmed photo of the base Z06 spoiler to know that it's anything different looking. Saw some prototype photos of what people thought might be the base spoiler, but not confirmed.

They say it's black (Carbon Flash?) instead of body colored, other than that I don't think anyone truly knows what the base Z06 spoiler will look like.

Picture of an actual Black base Zo6 today on the forum and rear spoiler definitely appears wider. Nice picture also of the front splitter.

Yup if this what you are referring to then it's the same one I posted... Stage-1 Z06. Notice the difference in spoilers between Z06 vs. Z51.

And I am sure the carbon fiber torque tube (instead of steel used for C7/Z51) added to the price.

Regardless of trim level I expect the programming for MRC is different from the Z51.

Probably the best summary is the Z51 is more similar to the regular Stingray than it is to any of the Z06 variants.

Yup! Can't wait. Orginial order was Black which I love, but finally went with SG.

According to Tadge at Sebring there were a requirement for Europe. Not sure why we have to have them too though.

Not exactly my taste either but the total package is so powerful it's something we will learn to accept....

Maybe gm will evolve the front fenders to be wider and get rid of the need for the spats on the z06 or eventually offer a 500 + hp naturally aspirated grand sport model without the need for those front spats using slightly narrower front tires...

Downforce is important but I'd give up a little downforce to not have to see that plastic around the front wheel well...

Till then...we will have to admire the new look as all business...

I still dig the c7 z06.
