Nitemare - It is confusing!
TPW = Tentative Production Week
JPG = "J Peg" - a format used for posting pictures or scans of documents
TPP = not sure what that means - Maybe Tentative Production Period - It would be a great idea for someone to post a key for all these acronyms & abbreviations.

I don't think j-peg was not what they were referring to, But you are right. It would be nice to have a chart depicting what these abbreviations meant.

TPW = Target Production Week

TPP = Target Production Period

These terms are often synonymous, which makes things even more confusing. Bottom line at this point, is that dealers do not know when the cars will actually be produced. Some may already be done...or nothing has been built.

I've been reminded that neither TPW nor TPP are very accurate. A lot of factors determine when the product rolls off the line. In effect, these are meant to be educated guesstimates. So, in this case, we can sort of assume that production may have started as early as the end of September and could run through early November...and maybe later. Anybody claiming to have a specific date at this point is probably either lying or has bad information.

Dealers across the country can tell you about instances where cars that were ordered just showed up on a truck one day unannounced, while others that were to have shipped, never actually left the plant. So, no sense in bugging your dealer. Just be patient, because at least at this point, any firm date they give you probably isn't real anyway.

Actually, that is exactly what I was referring to. I posted a graphic showing the Sep 18th constraint report, which showed a projected TPW or Target Production Week for the Z06s.

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...post1587977680

The TPW is the Monday of the week the car is expected to come off the production line. Our '14 C7 came off the line on the Tuesday of the TPW. Occasionally, a car will get finished on the Friday of the week before, or if they run an extra day shift, on Saturday, either before or after the TPW.

**UPDATE**

Just spoke to the GM district sales manager I know, who checked my order status and it still sits at 3000 with no details on a production schedule. In fact, he told me that it's quite likely that the event code may not sync very well with the actual build status. This means that it could move straight from 3000 to 4000 or even 5000. I know this was the case for some with Stingray orders last year.

Received this from my dealer about 10 minutes ago:

Called GM order hotline and after 10 minutes on hold while they checked there was no new information. So, as we saw with initial Stingray production I am 100% sure that it may go straight to the produced event code a week or two after it’s built. I did ask the hotline staff to call the plant and get me an answer but I am not holding my breath.

Interesting. I was one of the first to go to 3000....and according to Customer Service I'm still at 3000. Does this mean my car could already be built?

Do you think that Nov 3rd TPW on the initial constraint report is valid for us early guys?

Best,
Gene

It's hard to know what to think or believe. I'd like to think that if they haven't started yet, that they will very soon. There are only so many 75 deg days left here in MN...even with global warming;D

I here so much contradicting information. I was one of the early guys.
On 9/18 order placed and accepted 1100
9/22 Ordered queued for production 3000

When I built my Stingray Z51.... I received a TPW in less than 2 weeks after going to 3000.

This s%#ks !
