Corvette at Nurburgring NOW
I've been monitoring the Bridge To Gantry web site for sightings of the Vette. Have also followed Facebook and Twitter feeds. Sure enough Corvette appears to be there testing with the Camaro in tow. Haven't seen the ZO6 on track yet, but you know it's there. Get on the
www.bridgetogantry.com and click on Live web cams. It refreshes every minute on the main cam at the entry and seems to be every 5 minutes on the other cams. On the twitter feed this morning Dale Lomas said he couldn't wait for the Big Guns GM to get going. Also on the Facebook page some guy posted the Vette and Camaro were lapping. Finally !!!!!

It's the end of the day though and it looks to be raining. So we'll have to wake up early tomorrow morning and see what Vettes they brought. On the web cam at the half way point on the track I saw two yellow cars (I presume Vettes) running through there. No doubt just getting started with their testing program.

Right On!
For those of us thirsty for information, we have our bottle!
But, the track is going to get green fast with water being dumped on it like that:
After a heavy rain, it's washed away, leaving the track green, yet another change NASCAR tracks undergo. Not to worry; after a few laps the track will get rubbered up again, opening the gate for high-speed racing.

They open for tourist drives (the public) 1730- 1930 tomorrow. I may just leave work real early and see if I can catch a glimpse of the action; it looks like the weather should be clear. The track was not open for tourist drives today.

Thanx for that....you made my day!
Hearing the splitter, or whatever it was, scrape was worth the price of admission alone.
Watching the car makes me think it wasn't driven in anger, instead it appeared to be installation or familiarization laps before going ***** out for a good time.
We should get news soon on an official time....maybe later in the week?

Yes, the video is very revealing. I'm going to check in on the Web cams at 5:00-6:00pm Germany time. I do believe Jim Mero said that they run the hot laps at the end of the day with warm track but cool air. 8:00-9:00 am Pacific, 11:00am Eastern.

Wish I was still in Germany so I could head out that way. I lived about an hour and a half away from the 'Ring. Got a few laps in myself, but you really need sticky tires and big brakes to tackle the curves the way you WANT to.
What a blast it was.
Can't wait to see the time the new Z is clocking. And I hope they have the in-car video recorder as well, like they did for the ZR-1.
