Order status question

Its been a long day trying to fix all the confusion. Some dealers are clueless and miss speak which in turn rains down on the forum

You can't ever compare fast driving, canyon driving, or what have you with full on track flogging. It's the best sport that ever existed in one of the best machines.
If I had to choose I'd track a Mazda Miata and never own the Z06, vs. owning a Z06 and never really driving it proper.
The Z06, whether Z07 optioned or not is a proper machine on track. I wouldn't hesitate to take it out.
The next step is for the dealer to actually order your car from GM. The first opportunity to do that was the order cycle that started today. You dealer either ordered your car or he didn't -- depending on whether he was given authorization to order a car, whether you were high enough on his priority list, and whether your configuration was constrained by his authorization. If he forwarded your order to GM, you should go to 2000 by Tuesday night. If he didn't order it, he should tell you that.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Hallett Motor Racing Speedway in Jennings, OK. Its about 45 miles west of Tulsa. It's a fun track and shouldn't be too far for you to go.

Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to check that place out after this car FINALLY gets here, whenever that may be.
Here is a post listing known status codes and is color coded to relate to the 5 levels on the tracking website.

The best source for info is your dealer, if he is at all competent. He can pull up your status with a few keystrokes, and if desired, output the OrderWORKBENCH document as a PDF that can be printed out or emailed to you. On my last two vettes, the dealer sent me a weekly email updating my status, as well as a PDF copy every time the status changed.
If your dealer is unwilling (and then what is he doing to earn the thousands he is making off your order!) then check out the Chevrolet Customer Service order tracking thread in the C7 General sub-forum. Give them your order number, and in a day or so, you will have your 4 digit status code.
Just my opinion, but the only thing the GM tracking site is good for is the pretty pictures of your new car. Just my $0.02 worth.
