I just called my dealer, they are confirming for me...you know when they start talking about your vin number and having your insurance ready, it's getting close!
Dang it, I'm still 3000 and was a first consensus (went 3000 9/24). Maybe it's related to my change from CFV to CFZ.
I was told you could make changes at 3000, so I contacted my dealer and he said you could but it could push you back 2 or 3 weeks. I don't know if that would be the case with you, but I didn't want to find out if the dealer was right on that one.
In any case we should be seeing some movement in the next week or two, & perhaps you jump up to a TPW!

at 3000 your order is locked and the ability to modify the order is not possible.
Holy cow! I just checked and in at 3400! Such disbelief I took two pics of the monitor screen showing our live chat!
Are you certain that the "helper" didn't fat-finger it? I'd be interested to see what happens if you try the live chat again. I say this, because I just chatted with "Symone" (which could be short for Symone Dontnoshit), and she confirmed I'm at 3100.
It would be sweet to see someone at 3400, but we're also gonna be real pissed...
Your dealer can pull up your status on his order system with a few key strokes. Then he can either print out a copy of the OrderWORKBENCH document, or save it as a PDF and email it to you. My dealer for the last two vettes (Fichtner/Rimrock) emailed me weekly and sent me a copy of the Order WORKBENCH every time my status changed. Ken seems to think it is a necessary service, given the money they make on these cars.
If your dealer is unwilling or incompetent (which should tell you something about your dealer,) you can go to this thread in the C7 general section and enter your order number. Chevy Customer Care will get back in a day or two with your status.
I'm not sure if I 100% trust it, but my dealer is checking on it. It was late when I called them, and they are on east coast, so could be Monday (maybe Saturday?) before I hear any confirmation or not. Here, i'll try to attach:
Regardless, sounds like they are going to start moving these cars along pretty quick, and there will be a lot of happy owners around. Personally, I opted for the M7, because I'm in my 30's and still enjoy a good manual drive....but hopefully they make progress and start pushing all those A8 orders forward soon too!
