Is there any info on the forum in reference to the new A8?
I can't seem to find anything.

ZDAWG, go to "search this forum" and key in "transmission" - you're right, if you key in A8 or M7 the search feature does not return anything, but if you search "transmission" you'll see the very lengthy discussions which all eventually devolve to some german-car loving group of guys bashing the Corvette :-)

I heard GM is withdrawing it from production because of shift delay. Plus, the a Z06 melted at the Nurburgring from the A8, although some say the Cup 2 tires may have worn out of tread on the first lap, contributing to the problem. Which didn't matter because it was too heavy to beat the ZR1 anyway. Plus, the spats cause too much air drag. CFV was also withdrawn due to carbon fiber termites, which originate from the oil contamination issues in the C7. Mostly due to the lack of a catch can.

So, there you go, you're up to date now.
