Rocket vs Z06?
I was all set to purchase a A8 Z06, when the Rocket showed up at the L.A. show. They are both in the same price range. The Rocket at tad more. Now I guess I'm asking you guys to help me make a decision. I know I'm probably asking the wrong group. Just not sure I can get over the grill. Maybe it will grow on me? Tell me what you think without getting to crazy. I am a Chevy guy generally. Cecil.......

As most will say, "get what you want." I've had a number of late-model Mustangs, including a GT500. I am not a brand-loyal guy...I'm a performance-car enthusiast.
You need to go drive a new Mustang and a new C7 to get a feel for what you will enjoy living with the most. One is a 2+2 "pony car", and the other is a sports car.
I think they both look great, and will put a smile on the owner's face as soon as the throttle is really lit.
The vast majority of the Vette crowd will hammer you for even considering a Mustang (or a Camaro or a Challenger) over a Vette, but the fact is there are some really great-performing 2+2 cars out there. You, and only you, can decide what you prefer.

If you are seriously considering buying a car for which no specific production plans exist, and are pretty confident that you can get one in the next year or so, then I say go for it. I doubt you would be considering it unless you place a premium on owning a car that almost nobody else does. And it is likely to be just that.
