Default Z06 Crate engine

Any educated ideas as to when we expect to see a LT4 crate engine from G.M.?

The LT1 is already available as a crate engine. Of course the engine internals are not as good as an LS7. The LT1 does have direct fuel injection instead of port fuel injection.

The LT4 should be right along. But it does not have engine internals as good as a LS9. The LT4 does have direct fuel injection and a higher compression ratio.

See if you want to build a track car and want to throw away the OEM ECU and CCU, then the crate engines are available with simpler engine controllers
.

Hey just a thought, how long before we see people ditching the DFI…I could see a none DFI conversion for guys doing hotrods an wanting the latest motors…just thinking out loud….far as crate price, probably close to the LS9.
