Default Z06 customizations

My z will be finished in a few days and like most of you I'm anxious the qc hold will be up soon.

Meanwhile I've been looking around to see if by some small chance anyone has items that'll fit the z yet.

Does anyone know (with any level of certainty) if the z roof is same as the stingray ?

Is there any vendor out there selling flaps/guards for back of the wheel wells? Thinking of rocks and road junk...I had to go with stage 1 due to constraints, so another question is will the side aero work with the flaps?

What about engine covers? I've seen some really classy ones on some 2014 stingrays....but obviously that's not the same engine.

I guess that's it....anxious to get back to the plant this weekend to watch the finish of our car....that back lot was packed. We drove right up to the gate and it didn't look like but a handful or so of spots to park any more cars. My wife had not seen a z in person yet, and immediately fell in love once she saw some of our same color near the end of the line. Ready to get this car home and take her on a hot date night (the wife that is, but ofcourse in the z).

I'm ordering some interior stuff right now. Getting a CF Center Console to go with my CF dash and am getting leather samples to redo my seats - got the 2lZ so I could just get better seat leather (and still saved $2k over what I would have paid for the 3LZ), also redoing the center console lid to match the seats - doing a 2-ton black with dark gray. Also ordered jacking pucks, a car cover, battery tender (same one they use on the "battery protection" but without the crossed flags and less money), I'm pricing out a few more interior items including leather a-pillars and visors.

For the engine bay, I'm working on some hoodliner art that I can send to AirbrushInc. I don't want to mess too much the engine covers because I'm concerned about heat build up in a 650hp SC motor, but I'm sure I'll be covering some of the ugly plastic reservoirs and redoing the caps at a minimum.

Once the cars hit the ground I'll be looking to add Carbon Flash side skirts, but since fenders are different, that'll have to wait until someone gets their hands on the car to start making stuff for it. May be able to get them OEM as well once the cars hit the street.

I'm sure once people get the cars they'll start posting their mods, which will further fuel my addition as a modaholic.

I was looking for mud flaps for a while, and some one told me the z06 came with them. I did a little research, and it does appear on some pictures that the rear wheel does have mud flaps, but the front does not. So my guess on the fronts is that the mud flaps for the stingray should fit. From pictures, it looks like it may fit right up to the front spats. Not for sure, but it appears that way.

Looking at the pictures form the Chevrolet site listed below. You will see on the front, there is no gaurd.

On the rear, it looks like it has rear mud flaps, so it may be good here.

In looking at the stringray front mud flaps, it appears from the first pic above that the front spats would end before the front mud guard starts. Just a guess. Here is the URL

Gin will probably order full stripes from the factory, I love the way it looks. Maybe do a apsis or Caravaggio steering wheel

I'm looking for the full aero kit in Carbon Fiber to add to my Stage 1 A8 car, I hope I can order sometime soon! I'd gladly purchase now versing March to have the parts on hand for car arrival at the dealer, who installs all that stuff anyway!

That's one of the reasons I'm not ordering the CFV package from GM, constraints! I'm ordering those options along with the CF/Body Surrounds Roof also, and hope that's not on constraint when my car gets built, next year!

I'm also not certain you can order the CFV package w/o ordering a Z07 car, but could be wrong.

My splitter and diffuser fit the Z06, just need to change the rocker blades slightly as far as mounting points. I'll have that sorted out shortly as well

As you all know there is another company already claiming to have 750hp, 850hp, and 1000hp packages available before the car is even out. I find it rather amusing.

Either way, just know our engineers and developers are on stand by just itching to get our Z06 in. We already know our initial plans but we will be doing a lot of R&D work so our customers will get the best performance packages in the world. Just like we have been doing the past 8 going on 9 years in business.

I know its hard to believe but we will be able to take the already incredible Z06 platform and make it the super car of your dreams with minor upgrades. Of course, we will also offer packages for those that want more than your average 50-100 plus hp gains while still maintaining factory like street manners and reliability.

The 2015 C7 Z06 will have similarities to the ZR1 Corvette when it comes to performance mods.

9 sec pass just a few months after car hit our shop

2 years later with a little more R&D
