These are all M7 cars. I would definitely not take a fresh car with a fresh clutch to the track before giving adequate time for clutch break-in.
These aren't racing clutches. IMO, 1000-mile break-in on them should be done before going to the drag strip.

Cars have only been starting delivery as of Thursday!
OK so whats the hold up?
Out of all the new cars (and bikes) I have ever bought I have always taken them to the track right away. Most of the time before 500 miles. Never had a problem. I have never owned a brand new Z though.

I get your humor but read post #5 and that's only one of the reasons.

I'm eager to see the first drag strip results as well...it's nice and cool out as the tracks that are still open (like PBIR)....
It's pretty much over up north. I was going to go to an Atco rental this week that was canceled due to weather. I think this weekend is it for them until February or March.
In Florida, I might come down to PBIR for the event on Jan 18th, but won't have my Z06 yet. Usually, that same group has another event a month or two later. Hopefully I'll have it by then.

I hope to see some new Z06's at the Street Car Drag event on 1/18/15...there's always a bunch of expensive iron out there for this and the Dragtimes.com crew will be there getting multiple HD videos that they will post up.
I hope the Z06 driver, if there are any, are aware of this and bring an appropriate driver to bring cred to the Vette world because that video will make the rounds to all the tuner sites....
Im Trial fitting my CCW's from my ZR1 tomorrow, Im pretty sure they will fit fine, just want to be sure so when a rental at MIR pops up im ready!!!!!
Kyle you should road trip down to PBIR on 1/18/15...there are always some super hot cars at the track on that day (Lambos, Porsches, I've even seen a Bugatti there) and we need a hot shoe like you to represent Vettes!
And it's a great time of the year to come here, here's my current temp...

I wasn't sure if yours was a Z07 or not? I think the Z07 brakes are a little larger than the ZR1s so it will be interesting to see if you have any clearance problems with the 18s.

For some reason I thought they were just a little larger ,but looking around the internet I am not sure. It seem different articles have different sizes for both the Z07 and ZR1 so who knows. But, I forgot the backs are smaller anyway so they should fit. I hope they are the same as the ZR1 as they should help drive the cost down.
