C7 Z06 VIN Registry / Tracking List

Intermediate
When I purchased my '15 Z06, the dealership told me that the vehicle was a special promotional build by GM, brought to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for a photo shoot, and therefore carried a special VIN. After the shoot was over, the GM folks asked the dealership owner if they would like to sell the vehicle and it would not count against his allotment. I know the dealership owner fairly well (sold my '70 454 convertible to him for my '14 Z51) BUT I always thought that the story was kinda bologna, and just a sales trick to generate extra interest. Now I don't know. I see that all of the listed VIN's for 2015 have a last 6 that start with 60.... and mine starts with 50... Why?
It's an arctic white (w/ body color vents) with blue top/interior, 3LZ Z07, M7, visible carbon aero kit, comp seats, and interior carbon fiber pkg
The dealership owner is plugged into IMS and I was able to do a parade lap on the track before the 100th running of the Indy 500 last year, as well as a parade lap before the Indianapolis Grad Prix. Maybe the story is legit? Does it add any value to the vehicle if so? I'm definitely happy with the cool factor, if not.

2015 Black with Orange stripes

Spectra wheels
VIN # 1G1YP2D66F5607355
$81,500
According to GM's numbers, my car doesn't exist. They show zero coupes with full orange stripes! Maybe it's a 1 of 1 car?

2015 Z06 final production numbers
Can you clarify some of the Z06 numbers? They don't seem to add up. In the 2015 Z06 survey, the total number of coupe's and convertibles built was 8653. The last vin registered so far in the survey is # 9581. How is that possible? Were some numbers skipped in the vin sequence on the production line?

Z06 C7.R VIN question
2016 C7.R VIN Question
I recently purchased a 2016 C7.R with VIN number 700570. In 2016 GM produced 650 C7.R's (80 convertibles and 570 coupes). My question is... is it safe to say that VIN 570 was the last production coupe? Or is it just a coincidence that my C7.R ends in 570?
The car came with a little story. This car was delivered to Penske Chevrolet in Cerritos California. The GM told me that 2 were delivered, they sold one and the other one was taken off the lot by Roger Penske himself. The staff figured he would be keeping this car for his own personal collection. Mr Penske then displayed this C7.R at the 2016 Long Beach Grand Prix, then returned it to his dealership to sell. Never plated and had 85 miles on it when I purchased her.
