Tried out pdr today for first time and its incredible . did a quick 1/4 mile run down a dead end service road .

tried to upload video but apparently its too big only about 13 seconds of footage ?

You need to get a bigger SD card or a faster car like the Viper or GT-R. Damn heat soak resulting in a 13 second time is justification to sell the car as a third option.

Is it just me or does the PDR footage all seem incredibly low resolution, worse than a camera phone?

Somebody chime in on the PDR camera. Troubling that in 2014 (soon to be 15) that Chevrolet aka GM couldn't put a decent HD camera in the car. Great idea. Are there different resolution settings for the camera or is it "fixed".

lol the whole video is maybe 13 seconds the run was a horrible 0-60 of 3.6 and quarter mile of 11.5 @ 127 encouraging really . Its a horrible road with stones and sand over it but get that 0-60 down to 3.2 should be pretty easy and that has to result in 11.1-11.2 pretty much on the money with gm specs but can it do it four times in a row ? not sure .

video is a little dark but I was still impressed . guess I am easy .

never uploaded anything to you tube . maybe I will wait for a better run . that's just the very first attempt at a launch on a strange road . sure we can do better .

Default u tube link

not sure why I am posting this horrible run on a slippery surface I am sure to be attacked but I just want to see if all this posting works first time for me . if it works I am certain to post better runs if we can find a better deserted road and some practice launching the car .

does this link work ?

Haha that is so awesome.

So how did you set it up so it knows to start recording the mph and distance?

Nice, 4th shift was good. Preload the lever for 3rd and it will drop another couple tenths. Nice especially for that surface.

for the analysts

the car has 593 miles on it
just filled it up so full gas and two guys in it .

don't like running on this road each shift slips a little , shifts are much cleaner on other roads but other roads cant do a complete run on or at least I wont .

80 degrees

Thanks for posting!
Anyone know how the PDR compares to a real dragstrip for ET and mph? Someone should run one at the strip.

Would like to think in this high tech age its pretty accurate but of course the track may be faster or slower to launch from depending on prep that particular track uses . should be better traction at shifts I would think , as this road is covered in sand as you can see its sandy on both sides of the road and water on both sides as well

I expect to have the car at a track sometime in January. hopefully have a couple thousand miles on it by then and will of course always have this thing on , the 32sd card records 785 hours
