Default Proper Break In Process?

About 2 to 3 weeks away from taking delivery and just wanted to get some opinions on proper break-in procedure to follow for the first 500 miles.

It's an M7, so since they want you to keep the RPMs under 4,500 (I believe this is the number) - does this mean you should not engine brake when downshifting and instead just toss it into neutral and use the brakes to slow down? Also, I will be driving it back from a dealer about 3 hours from the house, should I not use Eco mode because you don't want the cylinder deactivation when breaking in the car? Any other tips to ensure proper break in of everything?

While I always enjoy a great laugh on this forum, if we can save the smart *** comments like "Break in?? Just floor it...." Let's save the funny stuff for the Viper vs. Z06 topics!

Look up the manual for the '14 C7 on Chevrolet's website (don't think the '15 is out there for some reason). The process is the exact same.

Do not exceed 4k rpm for 1st 500mi. From the 2015 manual.

BTW...FWIW it also stipulates no competitive events for 1st 1500mi.
