Has anyone seen the shift lights in sport or track mode?? and where are they on the dash? I'm not sure mine are working?? JD
I have but have yet to correlate what mode I'm in when I saw them last, I swear there isn't a rhyme or a reason as to when I saw them and when I didn't...
Alas, she's in the garage until this snow stops in MI, so it'll be a while to continue testing this, looking forward to someone who has figured this out!
If you're in track mode they show up, or select track mode as the default display. Also you can switch the "info" mode on the HUD and they will show up there independent of the drive mode you're in.
Yes. And they change color to yellow as you get close to redline if memory serves. Haven't driven my Stingray for a few days but I believe the lights act the same.
Without HUD, can you really see them in the dash in the heat of going down the 1/4. And if you can see the lights, when do you actually make the shift so its as close to 6500 as possible without hitting the fuel shut off. I do not believe the shift lights are really for 1/4 mile shifting a manual car, wouldn't just eyeballing the tach be better and easier to make the shift at a crucial rpm?
Yes, in Track Mode they will appear at the top of the DIC. They will start as Green, then Yellow, then Red lighting up from the outside in as colored dots.

Did you mean the HUD? Or is there a mode where they actually come up on the DIC as well?

Correct. Right above the digital tach the dots progress across in the DIC.

The lights are right at the top of the display, so your steering wheel could be blocking your view of them. I did not notice them for months after I got the car.
