Ok so has anyone have the tint with ceramic?there was one for 199 or one for 299,he said in the 199 it could effect my bluetooth an a few other electronics.some input would be sweet as im standing in the shop now.
Here is an example of what I mean from the Formula One website for their Pinnacle window tint film:
"Proprietary non-metallized, nonconductive nano-ceramic technology maximizes heat and ultraviolet rejection, keeping you and your vehicle cool and helping to protect from the damaging effects of the sun. And unlike metallic products, Pinnacle films won’t interfere with your GPS, keyless entry, radar detector, mobile phone, and other radio frequency technology you rely on in your vehicle."
CarbonXP, a next generation window film, gives dealers the opportunity to offer their customers enhanced performance for high-end applications. Other features and benefits include:
- The latest in non-metal, nano-hybrid, Carbon technology Non-reflective, “black” finish that will not fade
- Superior heat, infrared, and UV rejection for increased comfort
- Signal enabling technology that causes no interference with cell phone, radio, or navigation system signals
- Lifetime Manufacturer’s warranty, that includes fading
Only if the manufacturer's description for the film states that electronic signals will not be affected. What brand? Formula One? Suntek?
Honestly i dont remember it was from Altimir, everything seems fine so far it just said that it "could" interupt electronic signals.it is lifetime warranty.

why would the window tint effect the bluetooth, if the phone is inside the car--no signals have to pass through the tint film?
Suppose the phone is in the car and you are outside the car, say pumping gas?
Bluetooth is just another RF signal, and can be interfered with.
how will bluetooth be affected if the phone is inside the car, no signal has to pass through the tint? I t doesn't matter that you are outside pumping gas, in a non-tinted car you wouldn't be using it outside the car would you?
the installer just had it wrong... he lumped BT in with things like GPS, 4G, ONSTAR etc who's signals have to pass through the tint to the satellites and cell towers OUTSIDE the car

I was actually referring to a Bluetooth earpiece while you are outside and the phone is in the car. Will it be a frequent problem, no. But a Bluetooth signal will be interfered with if it has to pass through the window tinting. Lots of things besides phones use Bluetooth.

Sure but keep in mind that when you have the sides tinted 15% it makes the front windshield look darker in pictures because the ambient lighting behind it is dark ... the same way that from the side, 15% tint looks lighter if light is coming through the windshield in the picture.
20% cover on the windshield is negligible, in fact one is hard pressed to tell the difference if it's there or not ... but the advantages of Airblue 80 compared to stock are outlined here: http://www.aptinting.com/llumar-air-blue-80/

why would you need a bluetooth headset when bluetooth is BUILT IN to the car?

It really doesn't make a difference, since any Bluetooth signal going outside the car can be interfered with. However, since you want to play this game, how about your passenger. My wife routinely wears a Bluetooth earpiece, since the car is paired with my phone. Whether you can comprehend a reason to have Bluetooth signals leave the confines of the car or not, the fact remains that some tints will interfere with the passage of a Bluetooth RF signal.
