With the 3LZ package it states a upper interior suede package that includes the pillars, sun visors, and headliner. Does the 3LZ also include the shift ****, shift boot, and steering wheel in suede? And if anyone has the suede steering wheel what are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Eric
The 3LZ does not include the suede shifter/steering wheel. I think this may be part of the Competition seats with the suede inserts.....?
My 3LZ Z06 with suede GT seats does not have the suede steering/shifter, but my 427 Convertible does. I like both. The suede is a little easier to grip. My 427 is only 2-1/2 years old, with 13K+ miles, but it's holding up well.

Suede steering wheel is a separate option only available with competition seat, not GT seat. GM logic? If you want it, you have to order it from 'parts' and get it installed. I guess you 'eat' the original, or try to sell it.

The suede headliner only comes as a standard item when ordering the 3lz. In some of the guides you will see it as a cost of 995 but it can not be ordered separately and comes included with 3lz. Why list a 995 price if you can't get it? On other boards it was thought that perhaps GM was trying to add justification to the high price of the 3lz pkg by establishing a value for the headliner etc. in suede. When you order the 3lz you get very little vs ordering the 2lz and adding the PDR/GPS. The leather is the only thing you get and if you order the comp. seats those don't come with the Napa leather. Makes very little sense to get the 3lz...IMO...rrm
If anyone has the sueded steering wheel please chime in. I am thinking about changing my order to include the comp seats with the sueded steering wheel. I know most like the comp seats and I should be fine as I am only 5'6 and 135. I had the sueded seats in my C7 and liked them a lot, I think the steering wheel and shifter will looks good if they match the upper sueded package.

I have the suede shifter & steering wheel as well (3LZ) and I like it a lot. My hands would sometimes slip on the wheel of my 1SC 427, but the suede gives a nice touch on appearance as well as functional grip advantage.

Your speculation is wrong. The suede panels and headliner (IWE) was an option on the 2014 Stingray that was separately orderable at $995. For 2015 it was made part of the 3LZ and 3LT trim levels and is no longer separately orderable. However, some people who posted early 2015 price lists incorrectly left the 2014 information on them. GM never produced any pricing schedules for 2015 Stingrays or Z06s that had a price for IWE on them. The price only applied to 2014 models.
Regarding 3LT and 3LZ, all that vinyl on the doors and dash of the 2LZ and 2LT is rendered in leather in the 3LZ and 3LT. And the vinyl on the pillars, window trim and headliner is rendered in suede. It's purely a personal choice. I had a 2LT Stingray but now have a 3LZ Z06 and I do notice the difference every time I am in the car. I bought the 3LZ because I like to know I have the best available. Just a personal choice.
