So made it to BJ yesterday... first look at the new C7 Z06 in person ~ I like the overall look and feel of the car, but.... I sat in it and the cockpit was definitely more cramped feeling for my 6'2" 215lb frame than my C6Z... and I was curious how everyone that has one feels about the lack of view out the rear window. (when going fast on the freeways, I spend 50% of my time looking back). In person I liked the rear end of the car more than I thought I would... but for some reason from the front the car looks skinny to me.
I spoke with one of the GM guys there and he said the C7Z is a whole new driving experience compared to the C6Z - which I can fully appreciate and believe, even without driving it.
I jumped into my C6Z and drove home still feeling good about what I have for a DD. Figure I will wait another few years and take one for a test drive

I'm 6'3" 230ish and while getting in and out of my C7 coupe is a science project I'm very comfortable once in. It took a little time to get used to the rear vision but I now have my mirrors set to where I'm comfortable with the rear visibility. I sat in a C7 with the Competition seats and found them pretty confining around my shoulders.
I can't really compare the seating to anything newer than a 1972 Convertible, my last Corvette I sold in 1983.
If it was the red Z06 you sat in, I learned yesterday that Freeway Chevrolet in Chandler bought the car. I'm getting a call once they have it.

Thanks - maybe that is the trick... it is all in the mirrors
Yes - it was the red one. My shoulders are on the broad side too, so it just might be me. I know we all get comfortable with whatever we are driving in.
Once you have the red one, reach out to me and we can connect. You can drive a black C6Z for comparison

I was there all day Saturday and saw many great cars, the Hellcat, the red and yellow Shelby Mustangs ( which were very bad *** ) and the 4 Vipers. Sat in the bright Blue one, very cool!
Was over by the Z06 and in person I still hate the spats and heard 2 other groups of people mention the same.

I sat in both the vipers too... seats were way to straight up and down for me ... and the cockpit was even tighter.
Yes... some truly amazing cars ~ the Dream is still alive!!!
