What would cause peeling of outer lip of rim.

Default What would cause peeling of outer lip of rim.

So i cant figure it out for the life of me,i go in on next wends for service but i just dont understand as my most outer part of my rim paint is peeling like it just washed off or something.can a carwash blasts rim paint off,i dont stand close to the car when washing...

Probably defective clear coat. You'll be covered under warranty. Personally I'd hold out for a new wheel.

Gloss black,theres one tiny tiny peice beside the outer rim with missing paint.so can gm be like well you brought it threw a wash so we wont cover it?

I have a wheel an tire warranty but it most likely only covers if the tire wont inflate which is gay but i understand.

The paint should easily be able to withstand a hand help spray washer found in a coin operated type car wash unless the nozzle was held over a single spot a few inches away from the wheel, and even then the paint really should not have been affected.

Touchless,they were pretty strong.

Shouldn't matter how strong. This should be covered under warranty for sure. That's a QC issue.

If it had been curbed, and then more paint was coming off around the damaged area...that's another issue. But that's not your issue.
