My dealer tells me that all invoicing comes out of Detroit. They are observing President's Day today and are closed. Until the dealer receives his invoice, he cannot close the sale with the customer. So no one gets their car until that process takes place.

As long as we are waiting for delivery and invoice news... I find it comical how little snow it takes to paralyze our southern friends and cause the plant to close.
Similarly, on 02/02/2015 the plant started up late when the wife and I were on the buyers tour. Due to the number of call-ins the morning after the Superbowl production could not start up. It took quite some time to call in replacements and get the line up and running. It also took a while for the line to get rolling smoothly. According to the guide, normal target production would have been around 160 for the day but due to the delay the target was 135. Production was running 7 behind that number the last time I saw the tally board.
A scenario like that would have been unthinkable at the company I worked at for 25 years. Not only would you be out of a job, few employees would even think of doing it.
I hope none of the transport drivers get tangled up in any of the wrecks on I-65. It doesn't take much to shut it down. We sat 2 hours on the way home in Indiana when just over an inch of blowing snow iced up the road by the windmills near Lafayette. We battled the blizzard in Chicago on the way down so we had our share of challenges. Completely worth it for the buyer tour.
Carry on, back to impatiently waiting.

There was only 1 car delivered without a invoice back in early dec. Most like me had to wait a couple days till GM put them into the system. The invoices are in one of the many computer networks GM has. They are not mailed.
The one guy that got to take his home had a very close relationship with his dealer. Im sure GM had alot to say about it also since it wasn't even the dealers car to give out prior to invoicing. Anyhow the invoices should be in the system since a member here in GA got his yesterday.
