not sure what they mean by max temps unless some of ones listed are the max temperatures allowed before limp mode kicks in

Hmm. Couldn't you cut down alot of transmission heat by using side pipes?

Sure, and the ECM will pull 5 degrees of timing for anything above 230 degrees!

Or coating Or wrapping the pipes. One Z51 owner noted that his transmission temps dropped dramatically after wrapping his exhaust pipes near the transmission.

If I was going to replace a stock exhaust with long tubes I would have both them and whatever rest of the system I chose to use 'thermal coated'. This coats the inside and outside of the pipes reducing ambient temperatures around the pipes and extracts heat better from the motor that in turn increases HP.

I would not pay to have a stock exhaust system removed just to have it coated and put back. However, I might wrap parts of it that are heating up other components
