reflection of light on front splitter. It is not white, thats for sure.

LOL It's not white. As you said the pic is very poor quality. I believe and I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong that is the stage 1 splitter.

Level one splitter is unfinished grey plastic. As you pointed out, it's a bad picture. The flash probably washed out the color.
