I believe the LS7 is not "direct injection" was 100% sure.
There has been issue with direct injection causing intake valves to have a problematic with intake valves carbon-ing up.
Is there a handy list of cars with and with-out direct injection?
I think the c7 LT based motors are DI.
I'm not sure where the list is, but you are correct on the LS7 and LT engines. The V6 in the Camaro is also direct injected. GM claims to have designed the cylinder heads in the LT engines to not carbon up like earlier direct injection implementations. I've read quite a bit about it on the BMW forums.

This was found in some early BMW, VW and Audi DI engines. Almost all OEM's experienced at least some complaints on their earlier DI engines.
It happens because DI engines do not spray fuel into the intake valve track and on the back of the intake valve. So the valve isnt washed by fuel and can build up carbon.
They claim this is mostly a thing of the past prior to 2010 and has been corrected by engine design and ECU programming since. It can still occur due to sub standard fuel use over a period of time.
