Almost missed that option and sure glad I added it. Was lucky as the code had turned 3000 for approx. 1hr when I made the decision. Saw the carbon on a P1 then had to have it. Looks like it belongs there and am happy with it. Gm needs to extend it with an option to include the area between the seats in CF.

I also agree. I have it in my 2009 and it's worth it.
Sadly, no. Just the instrument cluster surround. There are vendors that make matching console.
From the pictures on page 2 of this thread, the console looks to have a glossy finish which would not work well with the factory matte finish - so I'll live with stock fr now
Phenominal is all I can say. Paddle shifting in Sport could not feel any time lag between shifts. Have driven PDk's prior and Vettes need no apologies. All that is noted is sound, pitch no lag and being thrust into your seat. Obviously the play was not crazy play with such few miles, but all I can say is very,very impressed. Fit and finish is great, no squeaks or rattles, no orange peel,solid car, and comfortable car. Today ordered my carbon fiber skirts.

Maybe we are reading a different thread, or you're responding to a thread posted in the C6 section. Because nobody ITT complained about "sqweaks and rattles". But I would guess your car has plenty, so perhaps "sqweaks and rattles" are very close to your conscious thoughts on a regular basis (or at least after you get out of you car).

The reason GM didn't offer CF for the center console only for the dash is because there is some sensor (I forgot which one) under the center console that the carbon fiber would block or interfere with. I also heard they were maybe looking into it.
