Default Finally got my car and Headlight gap issue!

I picked up my car from the dealership and dropped it off at the detailer yesterday so I only got to spend 5 minutes with the car. I got a call back today from the detailer and they informed me my driver's side headlight isn't sitting flush with the car and there's a noticeable gap. I've asked them to send me pictures as I won't be seeing my car until next Saturday. Has anyone seen or run into this issue? Also they found a few scratches on my car.

You should have looked (photographed) your car over before letting anybody have control over it. Now you'll never know.

I have a few photos of my car but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. The detailer does a lot of high end cars worth much more than my car and I trust them. Before they work on any cars they inspect the cars for damage. They take video and and pictures before doing any work. I'm not sure if I need to talk to the delivering dealership about these issues or the purchasing dealer. The headlight looks like an oversight during QC and I'm hoping it's a quick easy fix.

Here is she at the detailer. I will try and post the headlight once those pictures have been sent to me.

deejw - Beautiful car. Hate to hear the news though. I went through this with my Z51. I received minor damage from a car backing into me in a parking lot. The car that hit me did not see me and slowly backed into the nose of my Z51. I took my car to the dealership where I had purchased it for the repairs. It took them three different attempts to try and get the headlight gaps consistent after the repair. Now, in full disclosure they had to remove the nose to pop the dent out.

After inspecting the car the third time and refusing to sign off on it, they called GM and ordered a new headlight unit to see if it would fix the issue. It helped, but there is still a noticeable difference IF you know to look at it. The dealership told me that once the nose of the C7's are taken off, it is impossible to get them back to the factory fit. I wonder if for any reason the dealer had removed the nose of the car prior to you taking delivery? It definitely sounds like something happened if there are scratches as well.

Now, to make you feel somewhat better, I finally had my Z06 order get picked up by GM and between this order and my Z51 purchase, I have looked at literally a hundred or so C7's. Almost every one of them, all brand new cars, have gap variances that differ between the two headlights. They might be small, but I found it was a consistent issue.

I would get with your dealer and ask them to warranty claim a headlight and see if that reduces the difference. It worked for me on the fourth try. I hope it works out for you.

Thank you. I will definitely take this up with the dealership once I get my car back. It's just a bummer having to deal with this so early into ownership. Congrats on your order being picked up. You're going to love it!

I picked up my Z07 from a KC dealer and then drove it to home in Dallas. A few days after arriving in Dallas and having some time to really look at the car, I noticed that the body panels around the left front headlight was mis-aligned. I also noticed an issue with the panels at the back of the left rear wheel were out of plane with each other. I ended up taking it to Classic Chevrolet's body shop. They examined it for a couple of minutes. They said you want to leave it? They took the car and had it fixed later the same day. They said to fix the panels around headlight, they had to move the headlight slightly. No cost to me.

That's great news! I'm hoping to have the same results.
