Default Z06 A8 0-150 mph

Closed road, temps in the ~mid-70's, drove ~30 miles, no cool down.

0-150 data:

1/4 mile data, rollout is NOT subtracted from this...figure ~.2-.3 for rollout:

I also have comparative data for '14 911 TT (car that went 10.66 at PBIR in January bone stock).
It ran no launch 1/4 mile: 11.44 at 127.8 and 11.57 at 127.3
No launch on street because the violence of 911 TT LC would probably blow off tires.

911 TT 60-130: 8.49, 8.42 and 8.59
Z06 A8 60-130: 8.30, 8.48 and 8.37

911 TT 60-152: 13.78
Z06 A8 60-152: 13.98
I know...weird end speed but 911 TT did not run 0-150 and vmax'd at 152. 911 TT would win by 4.3' if both cars left exactly at same time.

Some people might ask why not run cars side by side with video. Two reasons: cars are very close and who jumps will walk away giving the appearance it is the faster car; it is dangerous running cars like this side by side to 150+ even on roads with NO traffic and NO other cars.

Nice report
Is this your car or Jason's car?
Little disappointed when I see 520hp is faster than 650/650.

Snorman, only info I would suggest adding is the aero level of the Z06 (I haven't had a chance to watch video).

You do realize that you're only encouraging this type of delinquent behavior?

Nice.

Seems like the 4th to 5th gear change drops the car about 250 rpms lower than other changes. You can hear the engine as well drop lower having to pull back up.

Nice run.

Stage 1 aero car that had ~375 miles at the time, so likely still a little bit tight.
991 TT punches far above its weight class. It also is not as susceptible to warmer air, but it was ~.3-.5 off best 60-130 ran about a month ago in much cooler air (8.1). Suspect that Z06 would have run much faster in same air on same road.

Yes, it does. There is another video that confirms the same thing with a run to 156 mph. However, car does not "lay down" as some have claimed.
Would be interesting to see data from M7 car. Hint...hint...get a vbox.

Fourth gear is fine. Gearing seems to drop off at the shift to fifth at ~126 mph. However, the car still pulls well.

Yeah 5th is the gear holding the car to do a better time. You could see it also in Tommy Milner hot lap in RA. That gear is 1.27

Excellent clip. LOVE IT! I'm still waiting on seeing a flat-out run on a closed highway in Mexico. I'm wanting to see a 200+ mph run.

Would be crazy and dangerous on a public road.
I (and others) will be posting PDR video from event at Daytona-Rolex event in April. I expect the car will hit 170-175 between T12 and T1.
