I use Adams Leather and Interior Cleaner followed by Adams Leather conditioner on my other cars. One question I have is, for the 3LZ pkg, is it real leather or something else?

I've used Lexol's cleaner and conditioner for years with fine results -- no streaking, no smell, easy to apply and remove. On older leather or thicker leather, I use Leatherique, which works astoundingly well but requires more work.

Default New Leathers are Coated- new cleaners/conditioners

Corvette interiors as are now like most marque interiors coated leathers hence when you see clean with water in the car manuals. Cleaners today should not contain petroleum products etc as they can damage the factory coatings and like in the Vette clog the perforations in the seats. I have switched for the Vette from my favorite for years being Leatherique to new water soluble cleaner/conditioner !Z by Lederpfledge. Leaves no color changes, odor or streaks. Leather maintains the factory look with no shininess. Purchased from Auto Geek. Is it the best ? Don't know, but no problems and is made for the new leather finishes.

docf -- I've heard very good things about that product -- and great point you make about the finish on the leather in newer cars.

From what I understand the leather on all our pre C7's & non 3LT cars is a pleather type product. The 3LT Nappa leather is supposed to be the real thing. I use Zaino Leather Cleaner and Conditioner. It's the only Zaino product I use because it's easy to work with. There is a spray cleaner Z9 if you leather is dirty and Z10 Leather in a bottle treatment & conditioner. I like this treatment because the product is thin and is not clumpy so your seat pin holds don't get clogged up. Just apply with a soft cloth and let dry. No buffing necessary. I used some Mothers conditioner on my 05 GTO (great leather) and it was hell to buff off and the perforations in the seats were impossible to clear. Also made a mess of anything else in the car it touched. The GTO is ten years old and the leather is PERFECT. Since my leather never gets real dirty I get about 4 bottles of conditioner (Z10) to one bottle of cleaner (Z9).

Use a foam applicator for the conditioner . A microfiber towel for the cleaner. The cleaner should be diluted 1:1 with water.
