I bought a car out of state with Z07 Stage 3 aero package. Should I make the dealer remove the expensive CF bits for shipping, assuming they are easy to tack back on upon delivery?

The potential for damage is one of the reasons the lower aero pieces are dealer installed. Depending on your transport company, many exotics with aero pieces are transported by reputable companies every day. Every vehicle that is transported may be damaged, thats why the companies are bonded. Careful inspection before acceptance may be your key. Caviat Emptor.

I agree - dealer said he's shipped 40-50 vettes with his shipper with no problems, but I ain't gonna be happy if the $3995 CF splitter or side blades get dinged up if they can be easily removed and reinstalled - especially since they are currently on constraint. Certainly there are lower, more expensive cars that get transported all the time - I just hope they take the same care with a vette.

If you are having one of the major independent carriers bring you your car you should be fine in that many of them are able to load the car on a completely flat load 'table', which is actually the rear door of the trailer.
