Default Did heat soak issue go away?

I remember when the first Z06 cars hit the tracks there were some complaints about heat soak. There was also considerable talk about how the performance was dialed down because of a soft tune when the termperatures got hot. Was this isolated to a few early vehicles or is this issue still there ? I have not been following this issue closely but have not seen any information about it lately.

Has not occurred to us tacking the cars really hard yet. Most of my fastest laps occur at lap 8 to 10 in a 15 lap session. I have also ran to happy hours running the full hour only pulling off to get fuel around the 45 min mark. Grabbing fuel at track side and finishing session. Nothing. Lap times still consistent. Now this summer in 95 degree heat may be a different story

I'm in PR (90 degrees all year) felt the car a little weird after a few hard accelerations when it have 220 miles on the odo... after I pass the 500 miles of "break in period" the car felt very strong and never felt that thing that I felt before.

I have yet to see any actual data that documents the heat soak myth. All I have seen is stories.

Not saying to start anything, just that I have around 800 miles in the odo and didn't felt the "power loss" or whatever the thing that I felt when it have 200 miles in the odo. Honestly don't know the reasons

So far for the owners and those who have tested it and put up data, it doesn't appear to be an issue so far.

For the C7Z haters and some of the C6 guys who don't own one, the "problem" is one of epic proportions.

Right on. Last week while at track had 2 different people come over thats all they would say about the car" how bad is the heat soak?"

They didnt even respond on how fast it was or how i lapped 90% of the group.

I would ask how the heard of the famous heat soak of course the "interweb"

Real life is not showing it. Come this hot summer im sure we will see some.

Yeah, I bet we see some in the high heat of summer.

Just like we see on various other platforms. We'll just have to wait and see if it's to a greater or lesser extent.

Every car can see heat soak, but IMO that of the C7 Z06 was greatly exaggerated, and in a few cases probably fabricated.

Sure don't hear anything about heat soak anymore. Must have been a non-issue after all.

I'm heading to Spring Mountain next weekend, I'll let you know if there is any heat soak, I'll also ask the "trainers".
I have 3k on mine, haven't noticed anything during normal driving. Loving my Z.

Obviously just a conspiracy that included C7Z owners, and even well respected automotive publications. They're all so jealous!

The car will heat soak in the summer and always monitor the water/oil temperatures.
