SO I just picked up my 3LZ Z06 - I'm going to document stuff I do to it over time. I've had a 14 base M7 with procharger, and a 15 z51 A8 - I do all mods myself and plan to do the same on this car.
I've already moved the mud guards over - they fit fine and look great - and the jack pucks.
I also have arh mids, corsa x-pipe, afe intake (will have to mod or buy parts for) and a ported tb all from my z51 that I plan to install - need to pick up a mgw shifter again - sold the one from my first c7.
I want to go full bolt on - no tune to start. I know you can get more power out of the full length headers, but I have the mids and like to wrench on my cars - so on they will go here in the next few weeks with the ther mods.
I'll keep everyone posted on the updates - and take some pics of the progress - hopefully some get something out of it.

Reason: new post
Nice looking car....will follow along with your progress......question? Why is the supercharger shroud you have all black....is it just an optical illusion?

OOps - didn't notice that - its just the way the picture was taken
Okay - for those who were wondering the TB is the same from the C7 to the Z06 - so this is officially the first add-on - a weaponX ported TB (thanks Ben) - I have had them on both of my C7s and they worked great - I expect to see even more response on a FI set up - pics of the part number on the Z06 -
Took a total of 10 minutes - and the stock TB has some serious sharp edges that most certainly disrupt airflow - 4 10mm bolts and a clamp - undo the plug to the TB, unplug the PCV going to air intake and top of intake to make removal easier
Got all the performance parts removed ready to go on the Z06 - was a beautiful day here's what I started with
Had a bunch of stuff to put back on the Z51 - luckily I had every single bolt and part for the job
All done with the transfer of parts - not time to clean up the PERF parts and get them ready for install - probably going to order a HALLTECH intake after the break in period
Here is a comparison between a K&N filter and AFE Filter - the size difference is big - the AFE filter is double the size
I'm sure the K&N filter flows better than stock, but can see how people are picking up power with AFE and HALLTECH - the Z06 is trying to breath through a straw with such a small filter

Training 'em young I see.
Interested in seeing your progress with the mods.
This week - modified stock air box by removing the plastic bars inside of it and adding the k&n filter I already had from my Procharged C7 - also removed the screen in the housing - no real difference to speak of. I've looked at my AFE to see if I can modify it myself, but not really wanting to mess with it. I'll be looking into the Halltech this time around. I've had the AFE, worked well with my C7, with the Z06 I think I want to go with Halltech.
Here is the newest purchase for the Z06 - no rock chips for me!!
New trailer ATC with extended ramps.
New ATC 24' with 6 foot extended ramps and airline recessed tie down tracks and remote control winch set up -
I'll be fabricating the tow hook tomorrow - none available in the COuntry and strapping through the wheels - I'll post pictures once loaded and ready to go
Btw, applaud you for turning some of your own wrenches. I like to do at least some of my own mods as well.
She's a beauty!
Thanks for the compliments
Not tracking the car - I bounce between Florida and St Louis (2 homes) and wanted to bring the car back and forth - got a killer deal on the trailer - and you only live once.....
I do all my own mods with the exception of the tuning
Looking forward to playing with this car -I'll be posting more pictures tomorrow about loading the trailer and I will also be modding the trailer too. I'm going to reskin the interior and add shelving, sitting area, awning, fold out beds - I'm really going to enjoy wrenching on the package - maybe even throw some ramp overs
So I had these done up for trailering - I was going to strap the car through the wheels, but went to a wrecker truck parts wholesaler who told me that wheel straps (through the wheels) will cause strap marks on the wheels.
These will mount to airline recessed tracks in the floor (rated at 6000 lbs) - they are shielded with nylon - so once installed they won't chafe the frame and keep everything pristine - and really easy to hook on.
So yesterday it was nice weather and I decided to install my ARH mid length headers and the corsa x-pipe - I will be heading out today to see how it drives and the new sound
All installed in my garage - on stands - took about 5 hours total. Easiest way to get a passenger side is remove valve cover and fuse block - manifold go in and out from the top. Drivers side come out from the bottom. No need to drain oil or move any of the oil lines
Next on the list is sound deadening - probably do that next weekend. I'm going to see how far I can go with bolt ons and no tune. Should get the halltech soon and that'll be on as well.
